The business that is known today as Heffley's Mill & Grain was founded in Columbus, Texas in 1924 under the name Farmers Gin Company of Columbus for the purpose of providing a cotton gin and grist mill for farmers in Colorado county.
The Farmers Gin was later bought by Ralph Meadows and became Meadows Mill & Grain. In 1967, Richard Heffley bought the Mill from Mr. Meadows and it later became Heffley's Mill & Grain. Once a supplier of custom blended feed to local cattlemen, today the mill is primarily focused on providing high quality products and services to the homes, farms, and ranches of Colorado County and surrounding areas.

This family run business is dedicated to serving the agricultural, livestock, and wildlife needs of area cattlemen, farmers, and hunters as well as the residents of Columbus. In addition to the traditional services that Heffley's Mill & Grain provides, we also offer recycling services.
